His past leadership positions include Director of Merchandising for a Top 100 furniture retailer, Regional Sales Manager for GERS Retail Systems, President of Shepherd Management Group and President of Shepherd Performance Groups.

Patrick has co-developed e-Learning and integrated software solutions to simplify complex tasks in the areas of Merchandising, Operations, Customer Service and Finance Management. He has also developed comprehensive management and training solutions that are in use today throughout the home furnishings industry.

Patrick has also worked internationally with Home Furnishings Retailers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas and Australia.

Phil Jones — SKILLS Innovative Training Solutions

Dr. Jones has over twenty years of project management, training, computer industry and consulting experience. During nine years with Digital Equipment Corporation he managed training and operations for an inbound Customer Care center. During the last twelve years, he has led major projects to develop training and software for furniture manufacturers and retail home furnishings companies, focusing on improving sales productivity and sales management.


Phil also developed introductory and advanced training for BellSouth's project management curriculum. He combines his extensive background in training and instruction with hands-on success in business management and projects. He specializes in developing high impact training in technical, sales, and management areas. He holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Dartmouth College and is an avid sailor.

It must stand-out and above any competitor while never forgetting that the product, not the backdrop, must always be the star.
